Copyright Transfer Requirement

PsyCraft Journal

Why is a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) Required?

In accordance with international publishing standards and intellectual property law, authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication in PsyCraft Journal must sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA). This ensures that the journal has the legal right to reproduce, archive, and disseminate the work in print and digital formats.

The CTA does not prevent authors from using their work for educational or non-commercial purposes. It simply assigns the exclusive publication rights to the journal for editorial, indexing, and archiving purposes.

When Must the CTA be Submitted?

  • - The Copyright Transfer Agreement must be signed and submitted to the system as a separate file with the article.
  • Without a completed CTA form, accepted manuscripts will not proceed to layout or publication stages.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Complete the CTA in full, including the manuscript title and author details.
  • Ensure that all authors listed on the manuscript sign the agreement.
  • Upload the signed CTA as a separate file through the submission system or via email to the editorial office.

Rights Retained by Authors

Even after transferring copyright, authors retain the right to:

  • Reuse the content for academic presentations and teaching.
  • Archive the preprint or accepted version in institutional repositories with appropriate citation.
  • Include the article in future works such as theses or books, with proper attribution to PsyCraft Journal.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Ensure that all sections of the form are filled legibly and completely.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any third-party material used in the manuscript.
  • For works with multiple authors, each author must sign or provide a written statement of consent.
